Hanumanji: Embodiment
of Divine Fire
SWAMI SWAROOPANANDA
The six verses of Shri Hanuman Namaskaram are
invocation verses often chanted during talks on
Valmiki Ramayana. Selected by Pujya Guruji, they were
elaborately discoursed upon by Pujya Swami
Swaroopananda at the ninth Mastakabhishekam in
Sidhbari from October 2 to 8, 2022. We present herewith
an edited excerpt of the explanation of the third verse.
The discourses were offered in the form of a beautiful
prasäda pustikä – Leap to Liberty – at the conclusion of
Pujya Swamiji’s Mahä Yajïa in Delhi from February 20
to 26, 2023.
Editor
eople often wonder if Hanumanji is a deity who was added
Pto later literary texts. This is a misconception, the result of a
linear method of study followed by scholars. Shri Rama and
Krishna are mentioned by name in the Vedas; in Puranic literature,
there are mantras on them as well as their personification in form.
Mere discussion, idle repetition,
boisterous argument – these
have never brought anyone any
substantial blessing except the
exhaustion of over-talking!
