Wisdom’ during a retreat at Chinmaya Vibhooti, held
from December 26, 2023, to January 1, 2024. In honor of
Kabir Jayanti, observed on June 11, we are pleased to
present an edited transcript of the first talk.

M y journey with Kabir began early in childhood.

One of my most cherished memories is listening to my
grandmother’s bedtime stories. Her enchanting tales became
guiding lights throughout my life – especially those of the
devotees Prahlad and Dhruv.

The Essence of a Saint
One story that deeply fascinated me was about Sant Kabir and the
mystery surrounding his birth. Many speak of mystical origins,
yet the truth remains: all Saints are born just like us. We often
