Yet, when all of us chant together, the benefit is not limited to
the individual – it radiates outward, contributing to world peace
and harmony, especially in a world so deeply troubled by conflict.
Today, by chanting the Hanuman Chalisa eleven times – and with
three more repetitions at the end – you have not only uplifted
yourselves, but the world around you.
Vedanta and the Spirit of Sevä
Pujya Gurudev’s life mission was to impart the knowledge of
Vedanta, which provides a vision of oneness. Where there is
oneness, there is love; where there is love, there is sharing; and
where there is sharing, there is sevä. With every breath, Gurudev
spread this knowledge of the Upanishads – particularly through
the Bhagavad Gita – and inspired us with the spirit of dedication,
service to Bhagavan, and Karma Yoga. Through this path, we
not only attain success, prosperity, peace, and harmony, but also
bring these blessings into the world around us. This ideal is
beautifully embodied in the character of Hanumanji, and it is no
coincidence that Pujya Gurudev brought Hanumanji’s sacred
presence not only to Sidhbari but also into our very lives.
At its heart, Chinmaya Mission has two core purposes:
• First, the spread of the knowledge of the one indivisible,
eternal Truth that resides in all of us – enabling us to
transcend differences and live lives of love, kindness,
compassion, forgiveness, and sharing.
• Second, the cultivation of dynamism, dedication, and
devotion.
