A Journey into Bhakti

hagavan is in the heart of all beings, but it is the saints who
Bhave realized this. In fact, their devotion is so great that
they dwell in the heart of Bhagavan! We know that the bhaktas
sing the glory of Bhagavan, but their greatness is such that
Bhagavan himself sings their glory!
In Ramcharitmanas, it is said that people do the japa of räma-näma,
but Shri Ramachandraji himself was doing the japa of Bharata, and
He sang the glory of Hanuman. That is the greatness of bhaktas.
Sant Kabir has said that Kabir used to say the räma-näma, but
now Rama runs after him, saying “Kabir, Kabir …!” So, Bhagavan
is in the hearts of the bhaktas, and they are in the heart of Bhagavan.
A Saint’s Only Prayer

In fact, the prayers of the saints very clearly reveal what is in their
heart. Let us first see this famous prayer of Samartha
Ramdas Swami:

tuHe kari[ deh maHa pfava.

jE jE r"uvIr smwR .
