SWAMI SWAROOPANANDA

Pujya Swami Swaroopananda visited Chinmaya Vidyalaya
New Delhi on February 13, 2024, where Pujya Swamiji first
interacted with Vinay Bharadwaj, a renowned filmmaker
and talk show host, and then proceeded to have an
inspiring Q&A session with the teachers. We present
herewith the first part of the interaction.

Vinay Bharadwaj: Swamiji, I want to take you down memory
lane. Right before becoming the Global Head of Chinmaya
Mission, you also worked as the Director of Chinmaya
International Residential School (CIRS). I would like to talk
to you about your experience of being a student which was
very different from how teachers are with students today.
Can you tell us a little about this?

Swami Swaroopananda: I think I had some of the most amazing
schoolteachers in my life. I remember my first kindergarten teacher.
Like many children, I went on crying and crying and refused to
leave my nanny’s hand. My first experience with a teacher was

“I am He. He am I.” This is the
great victory ... the total victory,
the vijayam. Bring about a
Dussehra in thy life.
