     Radiant Road to Prosperity, Purity,
                             and Pure Joy
t every step of life, two paths open before us: the pleasant –
Apreyas – and the good – çreyas. The pleasant path, offering
                                           1
instant gratification, soon binds us. The good path, often complex
and distant, demanding discipline and determination, ultimately
        liberates us.
The temple (on our cover), with its radiant path, symbolizes
çreyas. Its narrow and steep way is lined with steady lamps of
love, learning, and wisdom. In contrast, the path of preyas promises
joy, dazzles for a moment, but soon drags us into greed, grinding
restlessness, and grief. The path of light calls us to choose çreyas:
to determine what is good over what is merely pleasant.
Prosperity is not measured by wealth alone, but by the richness
of erudition, the power of friendships, and the depth of inner
growth. Purity is the goodness of one’s heart, the integration of
thoughts, words, and deeds, giving us the resolve to select çreyas
        over preyas – constantly.
Once we choose the Eternal over the transient, the Divine
over the trivial, we find ourselves moving closer not only to
the temple outside, but also to the sanctum within. Each step
on this journey brings calm, clarity, and contentment. And the
miraculous wonder is this: the compassionate Lord does not
merely wait in the sanctum sanctorum – He rushes down,
offering His helping hand, encouraging us and lighting our
way with lamps of knowledge, kindness, kinship, and courage!
We wish our readers, especially our students, staff, and
teachers, a radiant Diwali. As we stand daily at the
crossroads of the good and the pleasant, may we always
choose the path of çreyas. May we awaken to the
temple within — the temple of peace, prosperity,
        and pure joy. Editorial
